KFOR-TV, Oklahoma City’s market leader and one of the top NBC affiliates in the country, has an immediate opening for a Traffic Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibilities of the Traffic Manager are to manage the Traffic functions including supervising Traffic personnel and handling order clearance.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Schedule all programming for primary and alternate logs according to information provided by NBC, programming coordinator and news director
2. Maintain skims, regular avails, base rate and other Wide Orbit sales reports and make any revisions necessary to provide adequate information to sales management and staff
3. Process orders
4. Make necessary changes caused by last minute orders, make goods or changes to current day’s log
5. Advise sales reps of changes affecting spots and also of spots not available
6. Work with DOC by ‘phone to resolve issues with current day’s log caused by network changes or breaking news
7. Work with accounting to resolve issues in log reconciliation process
8. Understand the Wide Orbit and MCAS systems
9. Prepare monthly reports as needed for Sales Managers, Accounting and General Manager.
10. Supervise and provide training as needed for Traffic staff
11. Provide Wide Orbit training as needed for sales staff
12. Check pre-logs for discrepancies, etc. before final logs are printed
13. Work with sales staff to resolve preemptions and late orders
14. Assist department heads and other departments as necessary, providing information or actions that affect logs
15. Participating in training events for software, management skills and other fields that might effect the performance of duties
16. Provide back-up for Traffic Assistants that may be absent due to illness or vacations
17. Other duties as assigned by EVP and Station Manager/GSM

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Computer background is a must
2. Previous traffic experience preferred
3. Telephone communication skills
4. Knowledge of and ability to understand contracts and proposals
5. Ability to lift 40 lbs
