Hi, I'm Bosco and I am about 5 years old. I am really a short haired dog and so I shed lightly. Hey, I have no hair in the armpits of my front legs, but do on my legs. So, I wash and dry quick. Both my owners were in their 50's and are ill and couldn't take care of me any more. I don't know about being with cildren and I am used to basically adults, although children can pet me. I bark outside but not inside the house but if strangers are close, my ears will stand straight up and I get restless to alert my family. As a family member, I got spoiled a lot and was the only dog. I ate Kibbles & Bits and breath busters and chew bones for my teeth. I know commands like "sit" and "down" and learn fairly quick. I know "go to the backyard", "play chase", "bring me your toy". I am very well housebroken. I love to be hugged, kissed and petted anytime someone is ready to pour their love on me i.e. a lover dog. Because I have Basenji genes, I don't like wet weather; I will go out long enough to take care of business but get me in quick. Also, I like to wear a dog coat in really cold weather while I'm out becuse of my really short hair. I am not a high strung, high energy dog. I can be high energy whenever anyone is up to playing chase. If someone throws the ball or rope and I get it, I like to have them chase after me once I get the toy. I also love to play by myself as well all day in the yard in warm weather. I like to chase soccer balls in the yard and push them with my nose wile running really fast and make people laugh when I do this.
