Great Dane - Extra Large - Adult - Male - Dog - Wyatt
Description
Im Wyatt. I am a small Great Dane, But I have muscle and lots of energy to play. I like teenagers but Im not so sure about little kids I might knock them over. I am VERY bouncy! I live with some very large brothers and can keep up with them. I love to play in the hose and will do it as long as the water runs. I have good house manners and am working on pottie training. I do good most of the time but forget occasionally. My mom says I have to be watched at meal time because I wander to other bowls and eat the other dogs food. I will need a little training in that dept because I think if they are going to let me Im going to eat their food. I am not good with getting my nails done. They were rather long and although I know they need to be cut I am just wiggly and not happy about stopping my busy life long enough to get my nails done. My Foster Mom insists on it, but I pitch a bit of a fit. I am kind of a whiney baby, really. Hope you like that kind of dog, because I think I am pretty great just the way I am. I chase stuff so if you have little animals like cats I will chase them. I haven't learned not to yet. I also like to chase squirrels. So watch out as I blow by! I am good on a leash and very playful with all sizes of dogs. I don't often meet a dog I don't like. In fact, I haven't yet. I would like a home with big kids to play with , good food , and love. Can you give that to me? Bio Update from Foster Mom, Melinda W. January, 2009 I am a new dog now that I have found out what love and safety are. My foster Mom has taught me many things and my foster brothers, too. I am now a real dog. I know how to play and share, dig a hole (but mom put a stop to that even though it was fun), go to my room without resisting and complaining, look out the window when I want to see if there is anything interesting to see. I like my room when the little girls come over ( they move fast and that frightens me) and I can go there and hide from them. My room is good safety and I have peace and quiet. Did you know you can take toys in to your room and play with them uninterrupted. Yesterday, I met a cat for the first time. She doesn't like dogs, but they held her tight and let me sniff her and I gave her a lick. She didn't taste very good. Mom told me to be gentle and I was. Don't know how I'll be with them if they run around, but I'll try to remember to be gentle. Mom says I'm alot like a small puppy in many ways, she also says I am smart and learn things very quickly. I now have house manners, I don't get on the furniture or chew things that are not my toys. I have some baby dog chew toys that I really like and can chew on. I know to go outside to pottie. I walk good on the leash. I lie down at the table when the humans are eating and I don't beg (even though I would like to cause it smells good). I go to my room when told to and wait for a cookie. I have calmed down alot ( this is what humans like). I really am becoming a good companion dog. Now that I know what is expected of me I reallllllly want a forever home of my own. Age: 3 years Color: White with Merle Ears: Natural Adoption Fee: $245 Fostered by: The Mighty Melinda Restrictions Wyatt is not trustworthy with cats or yard life aka Squirrels, Rodents etc. He will give chase. Not sure exactly what he will do if he catches, but all indications are he has sinister purposes in mind for furry fast moving friends. Time will tell if this can be trained away. For now, he needs a home without these types of pets already in place. Or will need a home interested in re-training him and keeping him separated until training is a success. Restrictions Wyatt might chase cats or yard life aka Squirrels, Rodents etc. He has learned alot and is becoming very well trained. For now, he needs a home without these types of pets already in place. Or will need a home interested in re-enforcing his training to remind him to be gentle and be present with him at all his meetings with small animals. Wyatt is quite young and rowdy, he WILL knock over small children with his butt while turning around. He won't mean to, but it will hurt anyway. His tail, like all dane tails packs a punch and will leave a bruise when he is really happy. Small children's faces are just tail wagging height. Please be aware of this. Before you consider adopting such a young, active dane.
